Surrey Hills House

This two-storey family home extension to a modest, detached post-war home in leafy Surrey Hills, Victoria, seeks to make use of a site slope that backs onto a creek with considerable surrounding native vegetation which includes a number of significant eucalyptus trees. The double height living spaces to the rear which faces out towards the surrounding landscape balances the need for privacy and sun shading, with spectacular views with the use of flexible charred-timber screening which wraps around the kitchen, dining and meals area at high level.

Project is currently under construction, due for completion in 2023.
